Marine Life Safety

We believe what you do when you’re docked is just as important as when you’re out on the water. That’s why Spartan offers top quality, brand name marine safety equipment and rescue products, along with a full suite of inspection, testing, repairs, and certification services to keep your equipment maintained and ready-to-go.

We have two full-service marine safety service centres and six additional drop-off locations across Atlantic Canada for your convenience. Each of our safety service centres has factory-trained and certified technicians performing inspections, repairs, and certifications on liferafts, immersion suits, EPIRBs, and PLBs.

Inspections: Lifesaving equipment of any type must be regularly inspected and maintained by certified experts, typically on an annual basis. Our team is both tested and certified, and can help you meet the strict industry standards set by Transport Canada and other agencies.

Testing: Our trained inspectors and certified riggers provide full-service visual and load testing on fall arrest, fishing, and rigging gear both on-site and at our Spartan locations throughout the region. If a test shows you need to replace your gear, we can supply or help source whatever you need.

Repairs: Whether we spot a problem during an inspection or test, or a piece of equipment simply breaks down, trust in Spartan to provide the repairs you need. We’re brand-certified for repairs on AB Chance, Crosby, Columbus MacKinnon, and Kito equipment.

Certifications: All Spartan customers have free access to CertTracker® – our proprietary online tracking system. With CertTracker® you can easily access your current and past inspection certificates from any computer, capture all of your equipment assets, and receive notifications when you’re due for inspections from any computer with internet access.
